I am so excited about everything that this launch is bringing to the table. Everyday is a new discovery within myself and within my team. Even though things are strange at the moment with COVID restrictions and social distancing, everyone in the squad is pouring into each other one way or another.

On Friday, when we all arrived on campus, the energy was high and the love was flowing. We all have missed each other so much since training camp. We were talking and catching up, laughing and enjoying each others company. That night after dinner we had a powerful worship and fellowship. Each team was separated into their own space in the room we were all staying in and had to stay in those spaces for social distancing purposes. The next day before breakfast we all sat together and studied the Word and just were present with each other and God.

The day continued with sessions about safety, insurance, and ministry. Our leaders encouraged us to be respectful of our space and the circumstances we were in. Yes, this wasn't the ideal way to be doing launch. Yes, it could and can be frustrating. With everything that we could complain about, to remember that there are so many more things to celebrate and be happy about. We were together. We were about to launch to Costa Rica for the beginning of our journey. Our God was showing up and binding us together in love and community. The intimacy the Lord has shown and given us. The lives we will be touching and pouring into soon. All of these things outweigh the little annoyances of the rules and regulations.

With the restlessness of being so close, we have to remember to enjoy the now. To sit and breath in our surroundings and the stillness of this time. I hope to hit the ground running when we get to Costa Rica, but am reveling in the fact that we are all together and enjoying my last few days in the states before I go on the adventure of a lifetime with Jesus by my side. With a community of people that see me for me and encourage me to be more like Jesus everyday. Along side a group of leaders that want nothing more than for us to succeed and strive in this environment and this adventure.

God has a story for me, and I am ready for Him to write it on my heart!

God Bless!
