Hello everyone!

I am here to tell you about the experience in Honduras. When going into this country I had asked God what to expect. He told me it was going to be a really beautiful and sweet time but also a hard time. I time for abandonment and full dependence on Him. Also, going into Honduras I felt led to do a book fast, I didn’t read a single book for about six weeks, and during the mini debrief in Honduras I also started a music fast and only listened to my Christian music playlist for a couple of weeks.

We lived on a mountain in Comayagua, Honduras called Sierra Comayagua Mountains. Everyday I wake up to a beautiful view and fresh mountain air. Because we were in a higher elevation it was cooler and nicer during the day. Down the mountain in town it was very hot and uncomfortable. Everyday was something new with ministry. We were helping in the beginning stages of the construction of a church and women’s center. We also got to go to some of the homes of the people on the mountain and pray with them. The beginning was a lot of collecting supplies. There was a bamboo grove we cut down and carried back the bamboo to be used for the structure of the buildings.

We also got to pour into the people helping on this project and the people who lived there on the mountain. I met such amazing people. They were so sweet and just filled my heart so much. Paul and Tonia, our hosts, had such amazing hearts for these people and a beautiful vision for this place.

Half way through our time in Honduras we went to the capital, Tegucigalpa, and had a mini debrief. It was a wonderful week. The squad reconnecting and saying goodbye to the guys team. They were leaving the mountain and going to another ministry to serve just them. It has been amazing to hear the stories of their time there. This week was a great time, a lot of worship and breakthrough. The Lord showed me more about myself and my life with Him. He inspired my writing and what I can do with it. He mended and redeemed woman, through some of the girls on the squad, even more. And I had some sweet moments that filled me so fully.

Although, a few days after we got back from debrief I started to feel a little sick. I was not able to a lot of ministry for about a week. During that week though I got to tell my testimony to my team. The Lord used my writing to be able to write out my testimony in a real way. it went from a jumbled mess of life stories to an actual testament of His goodness, faithfulness and love in my life. I also led communion during my testimony team time, with some worship music. It was such a beautiful moment and a big step in my confidence and identity in Him. This week came to an end with them sending me down the mountain to get a COVID test.

To know more about that, please see my blogs about COVID and quarantine. Thank you.
